    Yes, Sharp is free for tutors to use with their students.

    Tutors can assign practice, track progress, and see every answer, how long it took, and any Desmos work at no cost.

    Is this going to replace me?

    Can I see what my students are doing between sessions?
    Yes. Your dashboard's home page shows when each student was last active, how many questions they answered, and how much time they spent, plus a running list of recently completed work. Open any assignment or practice test to see every answer and how long each question took.
    How can I analyze students' Bluebook practice test results?

    We've built a Chrome extension your students can install. Any time they take a Bluebook practice test, they can use the extension to upload their results to Sharp, or copy and paste them in from any device. You'll see their results in your Sharp Tutor Dashboard, with points lost by skill and a timing analysis for each module.

    Can I see how my students used Desmos?

    Yes. When a student uses the Desmos calculator on a question, you'll see a "Used Desmos" badge on it in their homework, practice tests, and mistake review. Click the badge to open the calculator with their work loaded, in the graphing or scientific mode they used.

    Students on Sharp Pro also get step-by-step Desmos walkthroughs on questions that can be solved by graphing.

    How do I know students aren't cheating on practice tests?
    Sharp practice tests open in fullscreen on supported browsers, and students who leave fullscreen are asked to return or save and exit. Every pause and resume shows up on the practice test's report, so you'll know if a test was stopped partway through. You can also check how long each question took.
    How do I get access to a student's Sharp stats?
    Ask the student to generate an invite code in the Sharp app under Profile > Sharing and send it to you. Then click Add Student in your Sharp Tutor Dashboard and enter the code. Students who are new to Sharp can create a free account first.
    Where do Sharp's questions come from?
    Sharp's questions are created by experts to ensure they're representative of those on the actual exam in terms of both difficulty and skills tested.
    Does this work for the PSAT too?

    Yes! Sharp supports the SAT and PSAT. You can assign Bluebook PSAT practice tests in a student's study plan and track their official PSAT scores alongside their practice. Our free PSAT score calculators also estimate the National Merit Selection Index.

    Can I share results with parents?
    Of course! You can link parents from a student's profile in your dashboard. Parents can receive weekly progress reports showing changes to predicted scores over time, whether the student is on track for their test date, and what they'll focus on in the upcoming week. You choose whether those reports go to parents in Settings.
    Do I need to learn a new system?
    No. We promise! Our dashboards are simple yet powerful. They enable you to quickly identify the concepts your students are missing and develop strategies to help teach them.
