What does your conversion mean?
1400 SAT → 31 ACT
An SAT total of 1400 falls in the 1390–1410 range corresponding to ACT 31.
34 ACT → 1500 SAT
1500 is the published representative score. The corresponding SAT range is 1490–1520.
1100 PSAT → about 22 ACT
Use 1100 directly on the shared SAT scale. This is an approximate comparison of current performance.
Concordance links scores that represent comparable performance on tests measuring related skills. It does not make the tests identical. Use it to understand your results alongside your experience taking each test.
For admissions or scholarships, check the institution’s own score requirements and submission policies. A converted score does not automatically satisfy a requirement for an actual test score.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use my PSAT score?
Yes, for an approximate comparison. PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, PSAT 8/9, and SAT scores share a common scale. Enter your reported total in the SAT-to-ACT calculator without adding points or rescaling it. This uses the SAT–ACT table; it is not a separate official PSAT–ACT concordance. Scores near your test’s ceiling and tests taken far apart in time need extra care when comparing. A perfect PSAT score does not mean a perfect SAT score.
Does this work for the digital SAT and enhanced ACT?
ACT continues to recommend the 2018 ACT–SAT concordance. The enhanced ACT composite uses English, Math, and Reading. Enter the composite shown on your score report. These are comparable scores, not guarantees of how you would perform on a different test.
What ACT score is a 1100 SAT?
A 1100 SAT corresponds to an ACT composite of 22. The full SAT range for ACT 22 is 1100–1120, based on the official concordance.
What ACT score is a 1200 SAT?
A 1200 SAT corresponds to an ACT composite of 25. The full SAT range for ACT 25 is 1200–1220, based on the official concordance.

Why is there a range instead of one exact equivalent?
The SAT and ACT have different score scales, so several SAT totals map to the same ACT composite. In the reverse direction, the official table supplies both a representative SAT score and a range. Converting a score and then converting it back may not return your original SAT total.
Does a higher comparison mean I should switch tests?
It is one piece of information. A small difference does not establish a meaningful advantage. Compare timed practice tests taken around the same time, and consider pacing, question style, and your preparation before choosing a test.
